A simple and classic design has always been one of Vitra's character. The distinctive cylindrical shape of the Nuage vase can be found in various forms in the Bouroullec brothers’ work.
As early as in 2002, their modular shelving system Cloud used this concept: Irregular blocks composed of tubes, creating an irregular outer surface so as to make it possible to combine the blocks in all directions. Now, this concept has been applied to vases, creating 12 vases of different height and colour. Just as the Cloud shelving system, the Nuage vases can be combined in an infinite number of possibilities.
